What a great picture of Eastern kendo with our sensei. The list of people in the front from left to right. The Japanese Consulate of Detroit, Harada sensei, Tagawa sensei, Matsumoto sensei. The rest of the folk you know or will know soon. See you all at practice.
Very lovely picture. I just took a course about japanese tea, and since then I've been very interested in the culture. Check out this video on Kendo, I think you'll like it.
Cool Kendo blog. How long have you been taking Kendo? I'm a beginner going into my 5th month. Im located in Dallas. Perhaps we'll confront in a Shiai someday?
I myself have only been training for about six months (I'm the big goofy fella with the curly black hair in the pic). Abbey-sensei (it's his blog) is yon-dan, and you'd better hope that you don't face him in shiai. He's like Darth Vader. You cannot stop him; you can only hope to contain him.

Oh, man. Why didn't someone tell me I wasn't supposed to smile?

Seriously though, nice to meet you, Edward.
