Midwest Championship Report

This past weekend I travelled down to Chicago to represent Eastern kendo at the Midwest Championship shiai. It was a great event that was bigger than expected due to the date change. It was also a chance for me to see a good deal of my long time kendo friends. Jack and I were the sole representative members for eastern and jack did extremely well again taking second place in the Junior youth. More medal for that neck. Congratulations. As for myself, ti was a great tournament that will be recounted in another post. Congratulations also go out to all of those that tested for various rank. Ken Wakabayashi = Nidan Takeishi Kioke = Nidan Alex Nitz = Sankyu all Jingran Wang = Ikkyu all passed with flying colors and Joe Ponchart passed his shiai portion of the sandan exam.
